My devID, drawn using paintBBS oekaki. Yes, I do look like that, and yes, I'm a big fatty. Crit is welcome because I could use some tips on lighting and shadows myself.

Sweet. I like the face mask and old school clothing.

How do you make the ID display on your page? Mine seems to be broken...

if you want some tips on lighting and shading, i'll give em. i'd like to see more tone to your highlights and shadows. don't always just use a lighter/darker tone of the one already there, but try adding an appropriate tint. i;d love to see some light sources in your work as well... by that, i mean, don't just randomly pick a light source, but add a lampshade, a street light, a candle or the sun, and work the colours and shading of the characters around that source. okay, that was more of a general critique rather than a specific one for this picture, but hopefully it gave you some ideas!

Don't thank me.

Thank you for the ideas! One of my problems is just using the lighter and darker tones, and I'm trying to get away from doing that. I might be drawing some light sources in future works, like the moon and stars, so I can see how good I am at shaping my shadows. Tones are fun to work with by the way, I learned about mixing chromatic tones, and those are awesome because they aren't just straight gray; they've got some residual colour in them, which makes them, in my mind, more natural.
