Sexist SonicClone?

Please understand that I'm taking a neutral position on this. My take on the picture linked above does not change the fact that I dislike SonicClone and think he needs a major attitude-adjustment.

I'm a bit iffy and neutral concerning this picture. Yes, it was badly-drawn and looks rather misogynist, but it is a role-reversal of a JC Penny ad where a woman is treating her husband like that. Maybe the question SonicClone was asking was, "Would they air a commercial if a man was treating his wife like this?".

Now don't get me wrong; I dislike SonicClone. I think he is quite immature and seriously needs to learn how to interact with others in real life and on the internet. I believe he has some kind of neurological condition which impedes his social skills - not good when combined with interbutt.

The thing is, I also think some other people are being immature, one of them is telling one of SonicClone's friends that if he doesn't stop being friends with SonicClone, she will stop being friends with him. In my opinion, that is not the way to go. Breaking up a friendship just because said friend is friends with someone you dislike is quite frankly mean and immature. Don't stoop to that level. It just smacks of the highschool popularity contest.

My take on the picture is that the wording was very poorly chosen and most didn't get the context right. When you're on the internet, you have to word things carefully especially when addressing subjects like the one in that commercial with a picture like that. SonicClone used very poor judgment in what he did, and I doubt he's a sexist. He's just a very socially awkward teen, and an amusing one at that.

I'm not saying that we should stop picking on him in some way, because dammit, he needs to learn to be more mature, but also I think that magic-kristina-kw is being very immature about the whole situation and ragingbobo is coming off as the most mature party in the whole debacle. I seriously doubt he needs a white knight to fight his battles. Then again, I don't really know any of the parties involved and just put in my two cents concerning the situation.

Seriously though, I think the whole thing is quite ridiculous. Whatever you think of this mess, I do encourage you guys and gals to critique SonicClone and call him out on the way he draws, and possibly on the way he words things. Because the way you say or write something does matter.
