Went skiing with my mum and sis today. We all woke up very early, before the sun was up, and I was damn lucky to have an energy drink. Then my sis treated me and Mum to Starbucks. I got a frappuccino, of course, with caffeine. When we got there, I started off so awkward and even fell on my back and had to be helped up by my mum and one of the ski-lift attendants. That was so damn funny... I was wearing so many layers of clothing that I could barely move. I still skied quite well, according to my sister. It had been years since I did this, but I knew how to maneuver pretty well. Would have done better if it weren't for my calves and shins screaming at me to stop.
I had to stop and rest quite a bit, and man those ski boots were uncomfortable. My toes were numb, my calves were aching whenever I walked, and the boots sometimes pinched me. Still, I had great fun going down that long slope. My sis told me I was always more daring than she was. Me? I was just trying to ski decently and avoid crashing into anything or anyone. Luckily, there were no collisions.
Also had some fun at the bar & grill after skiing myself sore. I had some conversations with a few people from Brazil, and I could understand some of their Portuguese, while they understood some of my Spanish since the two languages are so similar. It was kinda neat when I was able to impress some Spanish-speaking ski lift attendants with my command of their language.
Yeah, unlike the stereotypical aspie, I do like to meet new people and chat with them, and I really like impressing people with my command of a foreign language. There was quite a language barrier with one Brazilian woman, but she was nice, and I told her I got interested in learning some Portuguese from some customers at my former workplace and the Baté ó Pé cockatiel video. She laughed at that.
Really fun day, and we didn't have any real problems. I will, however, be stiff and sore tomorrow due to those boots. I mean, it's like they were invented by a guy who wanted to create the most uncomfortable piece of footwear ever. OUCH! Then again, I was stiff and sore for a few days after I broadsided a truck (it was the other driver's fault... long story) and at least I'm alright.
I want to go back and maybe strengthen these calf muscles - they've turned into total pussies over the years lol!

Finally Figured Out Something!
I think I pretty much figured out the time signature of this particular song. The tune is rather meandering and weird, but when I had it in six or twelve beats, it seemed to fit quite well. All those weird notes can be confusing, can't they? Either way, Dan Froliech is a genius!
Watching A YouTube Video On Mary Kay Letourneau
I'm watching a video about Mary Kay Letourneau. I have to say: Villi, this was NEVER your fault. You were used and abused and RAPED. Poor guy. I want to give you a hug and some cookies and brownies and a couple budgies. No child should EVER go through that. This video just breaks my heart. Villi, you didn't ask for it, it wasn't your fault, and Mary was an awful person and is now suffering from eternal punishment for this. I hope you can someday get into a better mental place and a healthy relationship with someone who isn't a monster. Again. It wasn't your fault, and your gender never has nor will EVER make it your fault. And oh my.... still listening to this. I'm about to puke, hearing what Mary is saying. Just plain gross.
X-Men '97 Is Just Around The Corner!
I've seen some reports from people who have seen the first three episodes. From what they said, it's awesome! Cal Dodd's voice has gotten rougher, but hey, he's old. I don't have much issue with Morph being nonbinary since well... Shape shifter. Beast's voice is still like a hug or being wrapped in a fleece blanket fresh from the dryer. I've heard a clip of Jubilee's new voice. Her original one is more familiar and like strawberries. Her new one blends the strawberries with milk, bananas, and ice cream. Kinda less tart and more milkshake. Rogue's voice is still Rogue from the 90s - gingerbread, cookie dough ice cream, cinnamon roll, and dairy cough. Age has given her voice some more satisfying dairy cough, but it's cool 'cause it's just classic Rogue to me. Cyclops' voice is much like the original - nice salty sweet ham and maybe crab or shrimp. Haven't heard Jean's new voice yet, but it needs to have some sorrowful gale and magnolias. Storm's is still very spot on - blast of wind and rain in a sever thunderstorm. Gambit's voice is still yet to be heard, but I'm hoping for sweet shrimp cocktail and red wine. Wolverine's voice is a bit less beef and more lean, but still has a good bite. Lots of mustard and relish. As for Professor X, I hope his new voice will have a similar gust of chilly wind, crackling fire, and cinnamon as the original. Yes I'm weird. Doubt I'm really a synesthetic because their voices just remind me of certain textures and flavors, and at times some visuals. It's... Rather strange.
Found the full version of Arturia Storm
Managed to find the non-demo version of Arturia Storm 3.0, a classic Digital Audio Workstation that was discontinued in 2004. It works, and so does the key generator. Now people who spent almost $250 in 2024 money on this DAW can use it again. I uploaded it to the Internet Archive and hopefully, people will find and enjoy this piece of history. I did this for software preservation. Apps as cool as this shouldn't be allowed to disappear.
